About Us
In 2019, the Wyoming SHEEP Foundation was formed by the Wyoming Wool Growers Association to be a dedicated resource for the promotion of Wyoming’s rich sheep ranching heritage and the products and benefits derived from sheep. We strive to support fun and effective educational and scientific projects that convey the significant contributions of the sheep industry. If you love the sheep industry, and the heritage it represents, we hope you will consider supporting the Wyoming Sheep Foundation.
The Wyoming SHEEP Foundation is organized exclusively for charitable, scientific, educational and/or environmental purposes under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The Wyoming Sheep Foundation is governed by a five member volunteer board and volunteer executive secretary.
The Board has met several times to formalize goals and objectives and discuss strategies to raise more funding.
Initial Goals

Support projects that promote the heritage of sheep ranching in Wyoming and that highlight the benefits and contributions of the sheep industry through education.

The Foundation will continue to provide support for the Wyoming Wool Growers Association annual Sheep and Wool Festival.

​With the contributions received we intend to offer support for young and emerging producers who desire to attend meetings or programs designed to help improve their production practices and/or lamb or wool products.
Contributions
Memorial and Honorary Contribution Fund
Choosing to donate to the Wyoming Sheep Foundation is a thoughtful way to memorialize or honor individuals for their involvement and contribution to the sheep industry. Your gift in their name will help support the work of the Foundation and serve as a lasting tribute to the person who has made an impact in the sheep industry.
After making a donation, you will receive a transactional receipt. If the memorial donation is sent in memory of someone, that person’s family will also receive an acknowledgment.
The Foundation will also acknowledge donors by placing an ad in the Wyoming Livestock Roundup and by requesting the acknowledgement be placed in the Wyoming Wool Growers Association member newsletter.
